The Formal is a schoolyard mockumentary series following two very different girls as they plan the biggest night of the year, nay, the biggest night of their lives... The Year 12 Formal.
​
As the night of nights draws closer, the girls have to navigate not only school and the formal, but also their growing feelings for each other. The first season of the series was an international success, gaining over 3.8 million views on TikTok. In late 2021, with the support of Screen Australia, Seasons 2 & 3 were released making The Formals views reach over 10 million.
